Instructions

    Mix dry ingredients

    Grate butter into dry mix; periodically mix to coat shredded butter with dry mix

  3. 3

    Add fruit or cheese

  4. 4

    Add buttermilk ½ cup at first, mix and add a little at a time (might not need all of it) until the dough isn’t sticky

  5. 5

    Make sure not to over-mix or over-knead

  6. 6

    Shape into flat-ish circle and cut into 6 scones; place on baking sheet

  7. 7

    Bake at 350F for 8 minutes, rotate tray 180 degrees, then bake 8 more minutes
